Headed into summer!!!!

Last Friday was water play day at the school. The kids had about four swimming pools set up to play in, a slip n' slide, and a water sprinkler to run in, not to mention the sprinklers that came on during the day at school. There was a shaving cream center and a bubble center. Of course, I think the teachers tried to have the shaving cream center set up for kids to spray on the table and create something, yeah right, the kids were chasing each other down and spraying it all over it other. And, the children had hot dogs and watermelon to snack on. All in all, Bryce had a blast, Wyatt not so much, too hot.

-----------------

Tuesday the students sang for us at their Music Program. I had a hard time getting Bryce out of the house, he did not want to participate. I told him that his teacher, Ms. Parent, would be very disappointed if he did not show up to sing for me. I was able to get him out the door and to the school finally. I had recorded a couple of the songs that the kids performed, but am having trouble loading them.

-----------------

Today was the big day for Bryce, he received his certificate for completeing kindergarten and walked across the stage to meet the new 1st grade principal, even though he will not be attending 1st grade in Pecos. He was very excited this morning before he left the house, he couldn't wait to graduate from kindergarten. I even teared up three times, I kept telling myself to hold back the tears. I guess I am very emotional during my pregnancy. Really, I can't believe my first child has already started and completed kindergarten. He is growing up so fast, if I blink I might miss something.

Bryce is receiving his certificate from his principal, Mr. Garrett.

22 weeks

I thought I would go ahead and put a picture of myself up this week, since I am past my mid-way mark. I will try to add another one closer to the end of my pregnancy, if I am that brave. It took me long enough to talk myself into this picture.
I am huge, by September I am not going to be able to pull myself off the couch. Also, I had my doctors appointment yesterday. The baby had another growth spurt, if she keeps having these growth spurts, she is going to be a big baby. I have only gained 9lbs, so far. I guess I need to add walking to my daily tasks, because I don't want to go over 20lbs. I have 3 1/2 months to go, but it is going by pretty fast. I stay busy going back and forth to Hobbs to see Cody, which I am very excited about finally being with my husband at the end of June and finally being a family again. We have been living apart since October, which some more good news is, Cody's company finally purchased our house yesterday and we will be getting the rest of our equity money next week.

Linsey and I are about 1 1/2, maybe 2 months apart. So, I decided to have Tim take a picture of us together, something I did not get to do when I was pregnant at the same time as Kelsey, Dashielle, and my sister Debra. Of course, my other sister Crystal is pregnant as well and I will not get to take a picture with her either, because I live away from them. So, I thought I would capture one of Linsey and I for my photo album and blog.

What's up with Bryce

I have not forgotten about my other two rascals. I will write two separate posts, so I guess I will start with Bryce. He has two weeks of school left and he is very excited, even though he does have to attend summer school for three weeks, but it will only be half days. Cody and I placed him in soccer at the last part April and first part of May, for a hyper kid you need something on the side to keep him occupied. He enjoyed it, he had a tough time when he wouldn't make the goals and would beat himself up. He is having a hard time understanding the meaning of teamwork, but I hope he comes around. He did make a few goals for the other team and that is when he would really beat himself up.
As for school, it has taken him quite sometime to make friends. School is almost over and he is just now at the point where he wants to associate with his classmates. According to his doctor, Bryce has a hard time interacting with others due to his ADHD. However, I am extremely proud of him, because he has come a long way in the past few months after leaving his school in Greenwood. I have to give credit where credit is due, to his teacher Ms. Parent, she has helped him in tremendously. She has worked with him daily in order to catch him up with everything a kindergartner needs to know. He was extremely behind, of course this is a whole other store of why he is so far behind, I will not even get into it. Of course, Bryce deserves much of the credit as well, he has worked very hard with Ms. Parent, so he can move onto the next grade. Like I mentioned before, I am extremely proud of my son, he has overcome the obstacles that were in his way and will be graduating from kindergarten at the end of May. Of course, he does have to go to summer school, so things will stay fresh in his mind, before he starts 1st.

First Purchases

I have already went on my first little, very little, shopping trip for the baby. I couldn't help myself, I have been waiting quite sometime to finally have my little girl. Oh, and we do have a name, I am pretty sure that it will not change. Her name will be Grayson Ruth Hathorn. Some people have already started calling her Gracie, which I had a feeling would happen, her daddy being one of these people.
Back to the first purchases made for her. I bought two little sleepers, slippers, and a blanket. Beverly bought two pair of shoes. Now I just have to find those cute little dresses, which will be hard right now, since summer clothes are out. I guess I will be buying sleepers for right now.

Boy or Girl?

The day every pregnant woman waits for during her pregnancy, other than the birth of her child, the day she receives her sonogram to let her know how the baby is growing and to find out what it may be, if she chooses to find out.

Wednesday, May 14th: The anticipated day
My appointment was not until 2:00, however I knew that it would go by fast, because I had to take Cody to the doctor that morning. We spent most of our morning at the doctor, because Cody has been having such horrible headaches and dizzy spells. We arrived at my appointment 10 minutes late and had to wait until 4:15 before they finally called us. The sonogram tech asked us right off if we wanted to know the sex of the baby, I was still unsure, and Cody said YES. However, I did say that if Cody was able to get off of work and go with me, I would find out the sex of the baby. After having two healthy boys, I started grinding my teeth waiting for her to tell me it was another boy, even though my gut feeling was that I would finally be having my girl. As she tried to get the baby to move into a certain position in order to tell us the sex, I could feel my hands shaking and my breathing come to a halt. Finally, she finds the position of the baby, IT'S A GIRL!!!!! I, literally, started crying on the table. I am overjoyed.

THE PROOF
A facial shot, she is trying to get her thumb into her mouth to suck.
Her tiny little feet.
The doctor came in after the sonogram tech took her shots of the baby and confirmed that it is a girl. At this time she weighs 15oz.

Baby Update...

I had a dr. appt. on Wed. 4/30/08, all is well. He scheduled my sonogram for May 14th around 2:00. I did ask my husband to join me, it makes it difficult though, because he is in Hobbs, NM, so he may or may not join me. I would really like to have him there though. He was unable to make the appointments when I was expecting Wyatt, he even missed out on the sonogram. Since this will be our last child, I think you get the picture. Maybe he will read this and feel somewhat guilty and try harder to get off.

Sorry, kind of got off track. I keep forgetting to ask for my measurements, so I can keep track of them. But, I do know that he measured right under my belly button, and he said I was growing fast. He asked me if I was feeling any movement, of course, I let him know that I was feeling the quickening movements or maybe it is just gas. As of yesterday, I did feel the baby kick for the first time, it was not a hard kick, but I could tell the difference between something that feels like a gas bubble and a kick.
