McKenna Children's Museum...New Braunfels, TX

While I was on my trip, visiting my family around San Antonio, I wanted to venture out with the kids and take them somewhere they could run around and get into things without getting into trouble every five minutes. I knew there was a children's museum in San Antonio, but my sister clued me in on one in New Braunfels that she takes her kids to.

I woke up early to get ready, because we had an hour drive ahead of us and we still had to pick up two kids on the way. We had a total of 9 kids in all (all nieces and nephews), of course, my mom, Debra, and Crystal also joined in on the fun. They were so eager to enter the building when we arrived and couldn't wait to have some fun. Once we entered, the kids went into so many different directions, it was hard to keep track of where everyone was. My main focus was keeping up with Wyatt, I knew Bryce could hold his on and hope that he was well behaved while out of my sight.

The museum had a bank, a grocery store, a farm, art area, train area (for small kids), doctor's office, spaceship, camping area, and a water park type exhibit.

Here is Grayson with her cousin Autumn (she is 2 months older than Grayson).

Here is my sister Debra with Grayson.
Sarah and Wyatt capture their creative side on canvas. Wyatt likes seeing his painting up on the frig.
All of the kids withrew money from the ATM to purchase groceries. Evan is buying cereal and Bekah is checking him out at the cash register.

Christmas Day

As I was posting pictures, I realized I did not take as many on Christmas day. I guess I was caught up in all of the activity going on around me, plus I had two kids I had to help in opening gifts or opening the gifts for them. We received a lot of nice items, I know the kids really enjoyed all of their gifts. I really liked all of the clothes for Grayson. Each kid received a special book from Bia and Paw Paw. Beverly had their names put into different storybooks, Wyatt loves when I read his to him, when I say his name in the story, he says very loudly, "MEEEEEE", and I say, "Yes you." I put up the books in a special place, so the kids will not tear them up, and only get them down to read.

Christmas Eve

We attended church before all the festivities began Christmas Eve. The kids were anxious that evening to begin, Bryce kept asking when will Santa be arriving and when will we open gifts? So, it was hard to get the kids to sit still during church, of course, it is always hard to get mine to sit still during church anyway. Everyone had a blast, as you can see I am making this very short, because I am behind on my posts.

Ruidoso...

Our Christmas holiday began with a trip to Ruidoso, we were very excited about our trip. We were going to make it an overnight trip, but it turned into a weekend trip. Tim, Linsey, and Brody joined us for our trip. Cody, the kids, and I have never been there, I am so glad we went, I would like to book a cabin next year. I have posted tons of pictures, I was just a little camera happy. Our first stop was the American West Museum. I don't think Bryce was having too much fun at the museum, he mentioned how boring it was to one of his cousins a couple of weeks later.

Tim, Linsey, Brody, Grayson, and I went shopping later in the evening. Of course, most of the stores downtown were closed, but we were able to make it to a few that were still open. Saturday, we traveled up to the winter park, of course, we managed to get lost on the way. Once we arrived we got out and bundled ourselves up, Cody then decided it was too cold and we all piled back into our vehicles and went and took some western pictures downtown. I will post those soon.
Once we finished with our pictures, we promised the boys we would take them to the fun park, since we did not get to play at the winter park. We als took a trip up to The Inn of the Mountain Gods too look around. Tim, Linsey, and Brody went a different direction and went to eat. The countryside was so beautiful, unlike Hobbs. My next trip in our agenda is to go to Santa Fe and take the kids on a train ride, can't wait.

Cody had to have his little bit of fun to. The machine beat him twice, jk. I guess it was made more for kids, because he pushed the arm right down.

Wyatt was not sure what he was supposed to be doing, the boy had to help him stear while he pushed the peddle to go.
Aunt Linsey wanted a picture of the boys and as you can see, Bryce was not too happy about having to take the picture.
Here, Cody was not too happy about having to take a picture.
We are getting ready to go home and I had to get some last shots in before heading back home.
