I luvs my brother

Bryce and Wyatt were playing quietly in the sandbox, I was working in the kitchen. I heard Bryce, very loudly, singing. So of course, I grabbed my camera to record. He was singing to Wyatt and it looks like Wyatt was rocking to the music, but that could just be the way that I see it. Turn up your sound, the whirlpool and the AC are on outside.

Here are a few of the lyrics that Bryce is singing:

If I want to be a car, I can be a car...If I want to be a treasure, I can be a treasure.

I think he was making it up as he was singing it, I have never heard it before. Sometimes, he does sit with the dogs and just sing away, I think I have a video of him with them as well. And, he makes up his own words to the song.

Bryce wanted to sleep in his sleeping bag, so I asked him to lay down. Wyatt decided to lay next to him, he loves his big brother.

Play Date

Dashielle and Clayton came over on Tuesday to play. Clayton had never been on a trampoline, so we placed the boys on it, Clayton did not seem to enjoy it at first, but after Dashielle and I got on the trampoline, he started running around.

Clayton wanted to jump so bad, but all he would do was move up and down. His feet never left the trampoline.

Of course, we also played inside for awhile, it was sort of hot outside. For some reason Clayton likes to grab ahold of Wyatt's shirt and drag him around, I missed the moment to take the picture. The boys did not fight over any toys, other than the others cup. Clayton would get Wyatt's cup and vise versa.

Homework

Bryce finally received his first homework assignment. He is working on a project that is about his family. The project was to decorate a paper doll, he had to dress it up and make it look like himself and add things that would indicate things he likes to do. I thought about including family members, have a pic of the doll on my blog and the type of materials we were going to use, so family members could have some input. However, time passed me by and I did not have time. The reason behind having people give some input was that we could have placed their names on the back of the doll for helping us.

Bryce and I worked on the project last night and had so much fun working on it. We were able to spend some quality time together. We also learned the number of the day (2), he had to draw two suns and trace the number as well. This homework assignment was a little difficult, because he did not want to put any time into it. It was not as fun for him as the paper doll activity. I guess I need to find a way to make it just a little more enjoyable for him.

Here is a picture of the paper doll we worked on.

FUN DAY!

Wyatt was able to enjoy himself today on the trampoline. Usually Bryce jumps on there with Wyatt and he bounces him all over the place, which results in Wyatt crying and wanting off.
Today, I put him on by himself and he ran around, fell down a few times, but never really bounced. The video is kind of long, just sit back and enjoy.

We also played with his blocks, I called out the colors, so he can start learning some of them. I want to get ABC blocks for him to play with. We read a few stories and listened to music.

Bryce's first of week of school

Bryce made it through his first week. I did not receive one phone call, yay for me! Below is the type of markings he received from the teacher, daily:
Monday: Super Ranger Day-The Best
Tuesday: Rainbow Day (a few distractions)-He failed to follow instructions and he hit some of his classmates.
Wednesday: Sad Face Day (several warnings and off task)-Again, he failed to follow instructions and continues to hit.
Thursday: All Star Day (several distractions and off task)-Once again, he failed to follow instructions and continues to hit.
Friday: Super Ranger Day-The Best

We began to take away things in his room. We started with his TV, he uses to play his learning video games and watch DVDs. Then, we moved on to taking away his cars (all of them). Friday, we told him if he received a ranger face he would get his cars back. Seemed to work, because he came home with a ranger face. Bryce almost ran over his brother with his bike, which he was trying to do intentionally, so Cody wanted to keep his cars as a punishment. But, I told Cody he needed to come up with another form of punishment, because Bryce earned the cars back by getting a ranger face. So, we took his bike away. I believe I was right in doing seperate punishments, I did not want to confuse him, my luck he would stop trying at school. However, I would like to know what someone else thinks in the matter?

Anyway, that was Bryce's first week of school. I hope next week goes well for him and he stops hitting.
