What a hectic day this was. Wyatt, Grayson, and I lounged in bed for about an hour, after Cody and Bryce left. Wyatt watched a little bit of cartoons and played, was doing well, until we got up. We headed into the living room and settled in on the couch, so I could feed Grayson. All of a sudden he doubled over in pain and started crying and screaming occasionally. Wyatt finally fell asleep, so I thought the worst was over. He slept for about an hour and woke up screaming again. I had called a doctor and made an appointment for 1:00, but it was only 11:30 and I could not take seeing him in so much pain. I called Cody and told him I was taking him to the ER. It felt like forever before we actually were taken to a room. Wyatt kept going back and forth to me or Cody, could hardly walk, and was double over.
Once we did finally get to the back, the nurse practitioner ordered an x-ray and blood to be drawn. The x-ray did not indicate anything, his blood work showed that his white blood cell count was 24,000 and should only be around 10,000. So, they ordered a catscan, the doctor and nurse practitioner wanted to make sure he did not have a ruptured appendix. Gratefully, he did not have a ruptured appendix.
The doctor admitted Wyatt into the hospital for further observation, because his blood cell count was so high. Fortunately, he was only constipated. They began giving him golightly in order to flush him out. He spent 2 and a half days in the hospital. Cody stayed with him the first night, since I am nursing Grayson, I did not want to keep her there over night. The second night, Beverly and Doug stayed with him, because Cody had a migraine and needed to go home to get some sleep. I am very grateful that they were there to help us, even though I felt extremely bad that I had to leave my little boy behind at night. But, he did not mind, because when it was time for me to leave, he could not get rid of me fast enough.
Wyatt is back to normal and I have to give him milk of magnesia for a month to help him. I am thankful that it was nothing severe and our 2 year old is ruling the day again, showing us just how much of a terrible 2 year old he is. He endured a lot over those days and was a big trooper. I forgot to take my camera to get his first hospital stay pictures, but that was the last thing on my mind at that time. So, I am posting an post hospital stay picture.

Hey, I am glad he is doing better! Just watch him from now on and try to keep track of his pooping schedule for the next few months. If he doesn't do the "poops" about every other day, up his daily fiber intake. I have to by the double fiber bread for my kids, but it works and I don't have to give them any Miralax, Mylanta etc.
Good luck! He is so CUTE!
